Core i3 500 series and i5 600 series is out. Replacement for the Core2Duo Series is finally here!

i5 proc

if you all must know all these new processor is based on 32nm architecture which can only mean lower voltage, better temperature, MORE OVERCLOCKING HEADROOM!! That’s not it, they all have built it IGP. (Integrated Graphic Processor) and runs on LGA1156 socket. Mind you the integrated graphic will only work with the new H55 or Q57 chipset. You can you these procs in the existing P55 motherboard which can only mean u wont be utilizing the IGP and also u would need a bios update in order to get the procesor to work.

Something i copy over from Guru3D.com

(Price are in USD or Euro i am not quite sure)

as you can see they all have hyper threading which means 4 logical thread. So they run like quad core.. only virtually and lower cache memory. (do not expect this to out-throne the real quaddies aight =D )

notice the Core i5 660 and Core i5 661 are identical even to the price (weird) but have slightly higher TPD voltage. This is because it has a little better IGP power.

also note that Core i3 is lacking of Turbo mode.

Here’s a little chart of how the H55 platform function

Ouh as soon as i get the local price of these babies. I will be making specification for some PC build. I see potential budget gaming PC and decent low heat, low power, high performance HTPC already. =)

Till then… Cheers everybody xD
